Billions In Tax Hikes Being Pushed This Session That Hurts Minnesotans

Politicians in St. Paul have made it clear; they are after more of your hard earned money. The 70% increased Gas Tax was big news, but that’s only a small part of the problem. The massive proposed tax hikes of more than $12 billion over the next 4 years will affect every aspect of your life.

What these politicians clearly do not understand is that Minnesota’s economy thrives when taxpayers are able to keep more of their money.

What happened to the promise of lower healthcare costs? While many Minnesotans still struggle to afford health coverage, politicians want to tax nearly every medical and dental visit and procedure to fund their wild spending to the tune of $2.5 billion.

If these tax-raising politicians have it their way, the cost of driving in Minnesota will go up too. The proposed Gas Tax increase that amounts to a staggering $0.20 per gallon.

Because increasing the Gas Tax just isn’t enough, they proposed to increase license tab fees and metro-area sales tax as well. Don’t forget the payroll tax on every employer and employee in the state to fund a state-run paid leave program.

These radical tax hikes will hit taxpayers in every income bracket. If enacted, these increases would take more than $12 billion from Minnesota taxpayers over the next four years, raising the cost of gas, health care, other necessary everyday expenses, and services. It would require more than 400 new government employees and the creation of a costly new IT system to implement this tax heist as well.

But we are able to STOP these insane moves if we push back against these out-of-control politicians in St. Paul. If everyone does their part to contact legislators to TELL THEM NO NEW TAXES!
