Union Bosses Defend Walz From Forum With Challenger

On Thursday night, notorious left-wing booster group AFSCME Council 5 – a trade union for government employees in Minnesota – hosted a forum where Governor Walz could brag about his credentials in office.

In the spirit of competition in the free market of ideas, Dr. Neil Shah, a candidate for Governor, asked the union to participate in the forum and reach new voters. The union opted to protect Walz from criticism of any kind to little surprise.

Shah revealed this information in an email to his supporters on Friday morning. He criticized Walz and his union buddies for refusing a friendly exchange of ideas.

You see, AFSCME is defending Walz because of his staunch opposition to Right to Work laws. These laws would allow employees to choose whether or not they pay dues to unions, most of which typically turn around and fund left-wing politicians.

As of writing, 28 states have adopted these laws. Allowing citizens of their states to choose whether or not they believe in the causes that these unions support.

If AFSCME wanted to defend their views on Right to Work laws, they would allow a challenger to appear at a panel on the issue. Instead, they turn down opportunities to have an informed discussion on this issue. There is not much of a defense to be offered here.

There ought to be more candidates who publicly call for debates with Walz. He needs this kind of pressure.

As Governor, Tim Walz has earned the ire of regular people across Minnesota. People have had enough of his condescending and arrogant style of governing. This is precisely why many have gotten on board with the effort to impeach him.

Politicians Plan To Spend Larger Than Expected Surplus

On Monday afternoon, Governor Tim Walz’s Minnesota Department of Management and Budget (MMB) announced that the budget surplus is much larger than expected. Instead of the previously projected $7 billion in overtaxed revenue, the state now believes that number has ballooned up to $9.25 billion!

This number does not even factor in the $2.4 billion sitting around in the rainy day fund. When you total up how much extra money the state has, it comes out to roughly $5,000 in additional tax dollars from 2.5 million taxpayers.

This announcement comes with cries from grassroots activists to give the money back to the people, which the politicians are only half-heartedly proposing. Governor Tim Walz has proposed sending you a check for some of your cash back…

… a measly $175 per taxpayer, with $350 for couples. A far cry from the $5,000 that taxpayers initially put in.

Don’t be food by Walz’s intention here. He is only putting forth some crumbs for taxpayers so he and his legislative pals can spend the money on all of their pet projects.

You can already begin to guess what they might be spending this money on… universal healthcare, free college, electric car subsidies, and bike lanes are a few proposals that we’ve seen in the past. All things that you probably don’t want to pay for.

If you want to have a say in where your hard-earned cash goes, then give your State Representative and State Senator a call. Tell them that you want an immediate tax refund and tax cuts so that this kind of surplus can never happen again.

Twin Cities End Tiresome Mask Mandate

In a coordinated effort on Thursday, Mayors Melvin Carter and Jacob Frey of St. Paul and Minneapolis respectively ended their mask mandates on businesses while leaving it in place for public buildings. This long overdue action comes weeks after the cities gave up their vaccine requirement.

Many Twin Cities residents may be surprised to learn that this mandate was still in effect! I’ve been going about my shopping at small stores and restaurants in Minneapolis both without a mask and without a vaccine passport – and nobody stopped me!

This move was likely made for two reasons. The first being that enforcement of these mandates has been spotty at best, with many businesses deciding to rebel against this overreach. The second being that both mayors saw the polls, and realized the public is no longer on their side.

FiveThirtyEight has President Biden at a measly 42% approval as of 2/24, while Democrats nationwide are running at a poor 42.5%. Clearly the hysteria surrounding masks and vaccines has taken a toll on the public; who are now turning against Democrats en masse.

If Carter and Frey are reacting to polls from the two most liberal cities in the state, Democrats MUST realize that they are in trouble come election day 2022.

Press Release: Gazelka Staffer Admits To Election Fraud

Republican Candidate for governor Paul Gazelka has seen his fair share of scandals, but his most recent could be career-ending. According to a rival gubernatorial campaign, a Gazelka for Governor staffer deleted several duly elected delegates from party lists to boost the crony politician’s chances of winning the GOP endorsement in May.

In election years, major political parties in Minnesota host caucuses to get grassroots voices involved in the party process. Election as a delegate at caucus offers an opportunity to have a say in the party platform and endorse candidates for public office. In a particularly contentious election year, Republican candidates for governor are working hard to earn the support of delegates.

Dr. Neil Shah (a Republican candidate for governor) released a statement on February 15th, condemning the Republican party’s handling of the February 1st caucus data. Noting that there were several errors in the way it was processed.

Shah also alleges that Morrison County GOP Chair and paid Gazelka campaign staffer deleted delegates from party lists and replaced those delegates with those that may be more friendly to establishment candidates. Shah states that:

“[Gazelka Staffer and Morrison County GOP Chair] Heffron stated she deliberately omitted delegates from the list she sent to the state party. When pressed further on the issue, Heffron also admitted to adding names to the delegate list for people who were not in attendance on caucus night. Delegates must be voted on within their own precinct on caucus night, and cannot be added after the fact. Delegates stricken from the list by Heffron account for a significant portion of total Morrison County caucus attendees.”

If true, this is a major scandal that could lead to the downfall of Paul Gazelka’s campaign for governor.

SHAH’S FULL STATEMENT CAN BE READ HERE

This kind of fraud should come as no surprise to long-time political activists. Establishment Republicans like Gazelka have long tried to hold their grip over the party from conservative activists. In a year where every delegate’s participation counts, it is sad to see a campaign resort to cheating to get their way. This is precisely why groups like North Star Liberty Alliance are needed in Minnesota politics. Without a check on supposed “conservative” leadership, Cronies like Gazelka control the narrative and get away with their malicious attempts at maintaining power.

Only A Handful Of State Reps Attempted To End House Mask Mandate

Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman announced on Tuesday that masks would no longer be required to speak on the House floor – No thanks to the overwhelming majority of house members.

According to a Facebook post by Representative Erik Mortensen (R), only himself, Representative Novotny (R), and Representative Sundin (DFL) dared to defy the speaker’s mandate… and apparently the latter two hardly made an effort to stand out. The remaining 131 members either proudly wore their masks or didn’t even bother to show up in person.

Chances are, your elected “representative” didn’t take a stand against forced mask-wearing on the house floor. These rules are not genuinely challenged unless a troublemaker like Representative Mortensen steps up. Because just three members wouldn't abide by her mandate, Hortman simply gave up on trying to enforce it.

Though the mandate has been eliminated from the floor, it appears that it will remain in place for “all other areas controlled by the House of Representatives at this time.” That means if you want to visit your elected representative at the State Office Building, you will be forced to wear a mask.

If you want to send a message to legislators who are sitting back and letting these mandates steamroll them and their constituents, ask to meet at their office – and show up without a mask.

Follow the link below to reach out to your State Representative, and ask for a meeting at the State Office Building. Be sure to let them know how you feel about forced masking in the State of Minnesota.

Minnesota Republicans Propose Billions In Surplus Spending

Over the course of the past few months, Minnesotans have demanded that their government return the projected $7.7 Billion surplus (that figure jumps to $10 Billion when the rainy day fund is factored in). It’s clear that the people of Minnesota have been taxed far too much, and they want their money back! However, it seems like the Republican-led Senate has already taken to spending the people’s hard-earned cash.

Senators on Monday moved a plan to spend $2.7 billion of the surplus for paying the Federal Government for their previous aid, as well as more business subsidies. Why should this huge amount of wealth stolen from hard-working people be given to the Biden Administration to spend on frivolous big government projects?

The average Minnesotan needs their money back now more than ever. With the US inflation rate climbing past 7.2%, the little money they do have is becoming worth less and less while groceries cost more and more.

Republicans claim to be fiscally responsible, yet the second that they have some extra money they go and spend it like a drunken sailor. This is not their money to use, and they shouldn't treat it as such.

This surplus tax money must be given back to the people. Even Governor Walz has proposed giving some of the surplus back. Don't lend any support to his proposal, though. He only wants to give each taxpayer $175 of their money back, while spending the rest. With this historic surplus, Minnesotans could be getting $4,000 of their money back.

You and I cannot allow big government politicians to play with our hard earned money any longer. Before they even think about any of their spending projects, they should give our money back and slash taxes so that this kind of over-taxation never happens again.

If you agree, then please contact your state senator and tell them to give the surplus back! Follow the link below to find out who represents you.

Realizing Mistake, Minneapolis and St. Paul Lift Vaccine Mandate

Less than 40 days after the enactment of vaccine passports for bars and restaurants in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Mayors Jacob Frey and Melvin Carter have announced on Thursday that they will be giving up on their mandate.

Did the twin mayors realize that making vaccination contingent upon participation in society is illogical and immoral? Not likely. If they truly took a vested interest in the well-being of their business communities, they would see that these vaccine passports were detrimental to their local economies.

Alpha News reports that restaurant reservations in Minneapolis are down a whopping 65% compared to 2019. No doubt thanks to how Jacob Frey is running his city into the ground. Though the data has not been reported on in St. Paul, there is no doubt that those businesses are struggling just as much.

Greg Urban of Wild Greg's Saloon in Minneapolis told North Star Liberty Alliance that... "The mandates and passports make no sense. Frey wasn’t following the numbers or science and was implementing these policies long before others. He was targeting businesses for political gain, a specific industry in a specific city."

Urban was on of the seven plaintiffs on a lawsuit against the City of Minneapolis for their lawsuit. Despite the rock-solid case that they made, a liberal judge struck down their request and defended the Minneapolis mandate. Thankfully, it appears that his lawsuit brought enough heat to force Mayors Frey and Carter to rescind their orders.

Repealing this immoral mandate on businesses is a step in the right direction, though it is a far-cry from freedom for these businesses. As of writing, there is no word on when the current mask mandates in Minneapolis and St. Paul will be lifted.

Rep. Robbins: Impeachment, Emergency Powers, Mandates - None Are Priorities

It’s the dawn of a new legislative season in Minnesota, but not much has changed. Despite renewed optimism from activists surrounding the fate of the Governor and his emergency powers, it seems that legislators will continue to march to the same beat of previous sessions. Representative Kristin Robbins (34A) is a notable example of this status quo lawmaking.

In a legislative email sent to constituents on February 4th, Robbins ran through her list of legislative priorities… none of which included the topics of impeaching Tim Walz, eliminating his ability to declare emergency powers, or stopping vaccine mandates. Instead, she harps on her bill which would eliminate an $8 fee for accessing court documents – admirable, but not a priority when business owners like Lisa Hanson are being thrown in jail.

Her inaction should come as no surprise to anyone. Robbins was one of the few legislators who voted to keep Walz’ emergency declaration in place on April 14th of 2020. See the vote below – A red vote keeps Walz’ powers in place.

SEE HC8 HERE

Robbins needs to make up for this bad vote in 2020. Give her a call and demand that she prioritizes efforts like Impeachment to hold Governor Tim Walz accountable.

WATCH: Rep Mortensen Goes Face to Face with Walz

The 2022 legislative session gaveled in at noon today, and Representative Erik Mortensen (R-55A) stole the show. When Governor Walz tried hobnobbing with his colleagues, Mortensen echoed the cries from Minnesotans on a video posted to Facebook.

In the video on Mortensen’s Facebook page, a masked Tim Walz can be seen standing in front of Mortensen, offering him a lemon square. Not only did the Representative from Shakopee refuse the baked good, he also called Walz out for just a handful of his shortcomings.

Pictured: Representative Erik Mortensen - Shakopee

Mortensen asserts that he has “...come by [Walz’s] office a dozen times and no one is ever there”. As well as asking why Governor Walz refuses to pardon Lisa Hanson – The small business owner who was jailed for defying Walz’s lockdown orders last year.

When confronted with the hard questions, Walz shakes his head and walks away. That’s some leadership!

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

Hanson is just one of many business owners who was crushed by the heavy hand of government in 2020 and 2021, all because Tim Walz and his left-wing friends believe that they know better than the people who have been faithfully serving their communities. Walz must face justice for what he has done to countless Minnesotans with his executive orders. Have you signed the petition to impeach him?

Walz’ Surplus Proposal Is An Insult

It turns out that Minnesota has once again over-taxed its citizenry. Governor Tim Walz wants to spend most of the $7.7 billion budget surplus ($10 billion when you factor in the rainy day fund) while offering crumbs back to the taxpayers.

Walz offers a measly $700 million refund, which comes out to roughly $175 per taxpayer. A far cry from how much you and I were overtaxed. The Governor is only offering up a tiny refund so that he can keep voters at bay. At the same time, he wants to waste the remaining $7 billion.

Walz is trying to buy voters off not only to keep their extra tax dollars but also to make them forget about his overreaching executive edicts throughout 2020 and 2021. What an insult!

Governor Walz and your legislators need to give back the whole surplus. Reach out to your State Senators and State Representatives and tell them to give the ENTIRE surplus back to taxpayers.
